How Our Respite Care Process Works
Step 1: Free Consultation & Needs Assessment (Day 1)
Contact us by phone or online form. We schedule a no-obligation consultation — either in your home or via phone — to understand your loved one's needs, routines, medical requirements, and your respite goals. This typically takes 30–45 minutes.
Step 2: Personalized Care Plan & Caregiver Matching (Days 2–3)
Based on the assessment, we create a detailed care plan and match you with a caregiver whose skills, experience, and personality align with your loved one's needs. You'll meet the caregiver before services begin to ensure comfort and compatibility.
Step 3: Care Begins with Seamless Transition (Day 4 onwards)
Your scheduled respite care starts on time. Our caregiver follows your loved one's established routines closely and maintains detailed notes. You can reach us anytime with questions or updates.
Step 4: Ongoing Communication & Care Adjustments (Continuous)
After each visit, you receive a care summary. We check in regularly to ensure everything is working smoothly and adjust the care plan as needs evolve. Your feedback shapes our service.

The Heart of Gold caregivers that took care of my mother were truly exceptional. Their loving care and attention enabled my mother to remain living in her home. Whenever I visited, my mother always looked very well cared for and spoke very highly of her caregivers who also became her friends. When I left, I knew she would be safe and that was a big relief for me. When my mother, at age 98, passed away her main care providers attended her funeral. We all hugged and said good-bye.
